Call and answer on your Meta Cloud number
Your Meta Cloud number now takes calls in ZipTalk and calls people who allowed it.
New
With calls turned on for your Meta Cloud number, anyone who calls it on WhatsApp rings in ZipTalk. Whoever on your team has the dashboard open answers from the browser.
You can call out too. Meta only lets a business call people who allowed it, so the dialer shows whether the person already did. If not, you ask right there: they get a WhatsApp message with a button to allow it, and the permission lasts 7 days. The message only goes through if they wrote to the number in the last 24 hours.
A ringing call now has two ways out. Ignore clears it from your own screen only: on a shared number the call keeps ringing for the rest of the team, which is usually what you want. End stops the call for everyone, the way declining on your phone does.
And when a call stops ringing without you deciding anything, the dashboard says what became of it: missed, answered by someone else, or ended by someone else. Before, the alert just disappeared and you could not tell which.
With call transcription on, every answered call, incoming or outgoing, is kept in the number's call history with its recording and transcript. When the call ends, the "View transcript" button opens its page, with the audio to play, the summary and the conversation. If you prefer, the transcript and the recording also go to the chat with the person on WhatsApp.
Call settings have three new options, for the dedicated number and for the QR Code connection: record the call or not, keep it in ZipTalk, and send it on WhatsApp. On the QR Code connection, keeping in ZipTalk starts off. Turned on, calls made from the dashboard show up in the number's call history with their transcript and recording.
Calls your business places are billed by Meta to your WhatsApp Business account. Incoming calls are free.
